Promoted to Hachidan (8th) Dan

Tony Smibert Shihan was one of ten senior Aikido instructors awarded the 8th dan by Doshu during the Kagami biraki, held at the Aiki Kai Foundation in January 2025. We are beyond excited and proud to congratulate Tony Smibert Shihan on his promotion to Hachidan (8th Dan).

This incredible achievement reflects a lifetime of dedication, deep understanding, and mastery of the art. On behalf of Aiki Kai Australia and its students, we congratulate Smibert Shihan and thank him for his dedication and commitment to the Aikido community in and beyond the dojo.
