All dan grade certificates are issued by Hombu Dojo, in Japan

Sharon Stewart (SA) is shown receiving her 4th Dan Hombu certificate from Tony Smibert Shihan, 7th Dan. All dan grades (black belts) awarded by Aiki Kai Australia are approved and registered at the World Aikido Headquarters (Hombu Dojo), Tokyo, Japan. Once the recommendation has been received and approved, Hombu provides an official Japanese certificate for that grade which is formally presented at one of our two national schools.
