2024 NATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL

Sunday 7 January - Friday 12 January 2024
Launceston UniGym Sports Hall. Brooks Road, Newnham

+ Tenchi Farm Dojo Extension Training - Meander, 15-18 January 2024 ... MORE

Gather, focus. Train - as one.

Led by our Trustees with special guest:

Steve Pimsler Shihan, 7th Dan NY Aiki Kai

We are delighted to be announcing our next National Summer School in Tasmania. Led by our Trustees, this is an opportunity to gather together and focus on training as a national group. With classes from our Trustees, TTC members, senior instructors and international guests, including Steve Pimsler Shihan 7th Dan from New York Aiki Kai, this is a national event not to be missed! The national schools have always been a focus of Sugano Shihan's training calendar for decades as they provide a completely different training experience to that which occurs in the dojo.

• There is the opportunity to train with a wide range of people, some more highly skilled than you are so you will be regularly stretched to study your technique.

• Training for a 5 and a half day period provides level of Aikido focus which is not experienced in the dojo where there may often be breaks of many days between classes. This consistent focus on just Aikido is invaluable and Sugano Shihan often said a week of national school was easily worth a year or two of dojo training!

• Because you are living and training together life-long friendships are built and there is a new level of understanding between people who attend these events.

If you can make it, we strongly urge you to take advantage of this special opportunity and join us at 2024 Summer School.
