         Dear Friends

Sugano Shihan, 8th Dan, will be organizing the 9th Inner Aikido School this year from the 23rd till the 28th of August in Belgium.

For those who are new to this Inner Aikido School, this is an initiative which has originated in Belgium to support Sensei in his transmission of Aikido.

Sugano Shihan is the first one to emphasis the importance of study and those who are attending regular seminar know that it is sometimes difficult to stay focussed during that kind of experience.

Therefore, he suggested to create a more dedicated environment in order to deepen the study. So we began 9 years ago with 30 Yudansha to discover,, in every small detail, the “Go no Ken” patterns series, the “Tandoku Dosa” and the “So Tai Dosa” that embeds Sugano Sensei’s core teaching principles. Through meditation and open discussion we learned to change the way we perceived aikido and thereby our way of training.

After 5 years, Sensei formed  a core international team and began to open that school to kyu grades. The school has been attended by many different nationalities (USA, Australia, France, The Netherlands, Luxemburg, Sweden, and of course Belgium) and this year we will receive a visit of Ukraine delegates (a new country where Sugano Shihan now gives seminars).

Sensei wishes to create a global community gathering once a year (or maybe in the future more often) to share study but also friendly moment.

We invite you to come to this unique happening and/or to talk about it to people who would be interested to deepened their study of Sugano Shihan’s teaching of the Principles of Aikido.

The location is a College near an Abbey (for those who want to discover Belgian beer and cheese :-) )

We sleep in plain bedrooms (single or two beds) so bring your sleeping bag, sheets, pillows and everything you need to be comfortable (this is not an hotel).

The number of participants is limited to 75… but the regular attendees of the school have already booked 45 places, so only 30 places are still free.

Don’t hesitate to contact us if you are interested in attending.

On the last evening we celebrate the school through a party and this year Sensei would like a fancy dress ball, so please come with at least a fancy mask or some other disguise.

Thank you for your support

The Organizers
